I am a certified yoga teacher. Before the pandemic, I was teaching yoga at Evansville Power Yoga, Evansville Yoga & More, and offering private yoga lessons. The teachers and the people who practice yoga at both studios are great people. Each studio has a unique feeling and atmosphere. Come try them out and find your yoga family. Yay! I have not returned to teaching yoga just yet, but I am looking forward to doing it again in the future. I miss my studio and my yoga family. 

 When I was teaching yoga, I enjoy teaching themed yoga classes when possible. Sometimes I would focus on different body parts, like hands and arms. Before Thanksgiving 2019, I offered a class inspired by the poem & song Over the River and Through the Woods. In the summer of 2019, I offered a five part series inspired by the Aeolian Islands, Italian islands off the coast of Sicily. I used my experiences on the islands to create classes that I called yogacations. In each class, I would incorporate sights, smells, tastes, and experiences of one of the islands into the asana practice. It was a lot of fun for me and the people who took the classes really enjoyed it.  People started asking me, "What island are we visiting today?!" LOL!
